Rumors from China: Apple may raise iPhone 17 prices as early as tomorrow
A new post by the well-known leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims that Apple may increase prices for iPhone 17 models starting tomorrow, August 10. While there are no other sources for this rumor, market experts note that final pricing in Israel will depend on the current dollar exchange rate.

Next month, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro, leading many consumers to delay purchasing the previous model in hopes of a price drop. However, they may be disappointed this year: according to reports from abroad, Apple could raise prices for iPhone 17 models as early as tomorrow, based on a post by a leaker known as Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo.
"Rumors are circulating that the iPhone 17 will become more expensive on August 10," wrote Fixed Focus Digital.
The report emphasizes that there is no direct source for this rumor beyond the post itself, but the leaker has a history of providing relatively accurate information regarding Apple.
This move, if it occurs, would be surprising but not unprecedented. Apple has already raised prices on several of its products by several hundred dollars this year, while the iPhone remained stable. It was previously assumed that if iPhone prices were to rise, it would happen in September alongside the introduction of new models.
The report suggests that if Apple intends to adjust the prices of iPhone models that will remain on sale through the end of the year, there may be no reason to wait until September. It is not yet clear whether the price increase, if it takes place, will apply to all iPhone 17 models or only specific ones, nor is the scale of the increase known.
It is worth recalling that in June, Apple CEO Tim Cook warned that price increases were on the horizon. For now, this remains a rumor, and it is unclear whether a global price hike would affect the Israeli market, as the current low dollar exchange rate could potentially offset such an increase.
