Gunman Opens Fire in Rishon LeZion Residential Building Lobby
An unidentified gunman opened fire in the lobby of a residential building on Jerusalem Street in Rishon LeZion, marking the second violent attack at the location in four months.

A shooting incident occurred on Saturday evening in the lobby of a residential building on 131 Jerusalem Street in Rishon LeZion. An unidentified suspect fired several rounds into the entrance hall before fleeing the scene, marking the second such violent attack at the exact location within a span of few months.
Residents of the 131-apartment building voiced deep concern over the escalating violence, demanding immediate municipal and law enforcement intervention. "It is simply terrifying," one of the local residents stated. "A kid gets paid pennies, shoots at the lobby, and only by a miracle did a child or someone else not get hit by a bullet. It is terrifying here in the neighborhood, and this happened at an hour when many people are still out on the street. It feels like there is no law and nobody fears anything."
Four months prior, a fragmentation grenade was hurled into the same lobby and detonated. Two suspects were arrested in connection with that earlier attack, and formal indictments were subsequently filed. "We haven't even finished installing the new glass panels, and the shootings are back," added another resident, a mother of young daughters. "There are one hundred families living in this building, and you never know who this was intended to target."
Preliminary findings from the Rishon LeZion Police indicate that the shooting was intended to send a message to one of the building's occupants. Representatives from the Shfela police region stated: "Following the report received at the 100 emergency hotline, Rishon LeZion police officers arrived at the scene within minutes, gathered forensic evidence, and launched an investigation. Comprehensive measures are currently underway, including sweeps and efforts to locate suspects in order to uncover the truth."
