Cannabis reform and psychedelic therapy for combat veterans: Ale Yarok returns
Nir Yuftero, known as "The Angel" for his advocacy for medical cannabis patients, has been appointed by the party's founder to lead the list. The party's demands: full legalization, medical reform, and psychedelic treatment for PTSD sufferers.
The Ale Yarok party announced that it will run in the upcoming general elections for the Knesset under the leadership of Nir Yuftero, known to the public by the nickname "The Angel" due to his long-standing assistance to medical cannabis patients. Yuftero earned the trust and full backing of the party's chairman and founder, Boaz Wachtel, who officially appointed him to lead the list for the Knesset.
Ale Yarok, founded in 1999, was the first to bring the issue of legalization to the political agenda in Israel. Now, under Yuftero's leadership, it returns to the arena with the goal of placing the issue at the heart of parliamentary action and ending the suffering of over two million citizens.
Upon his announcement, Yuftero set a list of clear threshold conditions for the party's entry into any future coalition. He emphasized that the party will demand full legalization of cannabis, the passage of a comprehensive reform in the field of medical cannabis, and the promotion of treatments based on psychedelic substances for those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Yuftero clarified that entering politics is now a necessity, as one must go inside and change the system from above. He declared that the public is fed up with politicians and lobbyists, and that his party brings with it clean people motivated by soul, love, and compassion.
"The cannabis industry is collapsing, patients are suffering, and combat veterans are forced to buy on the black market. Enough," concluded Yuftero, calling on the public to give the party the power to voice their cry.
