Returning to the pitch? Sheran Yeini on the offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv
The former Maccabi Tel Aviv captain spoke about the offers he received from the club, explained why he chose to focus on his family, and also addressed the possibility of returning to football in the future.

Sheran Yeini, former captain of Maccabi Tel Aviv and currently a contestant on the show 'Dancing with the Stars', was interviewed on 103FM. He spoke about life after retiring from football, the offers he received from the club, and the possibility of returning to a professional role in the field.
Yeini, who recently remained on the dance show after winning the 'lifeline' together with Karin Sorochinsky, was asked if he sees himself returning to football in the future:
"It is something I never rule out, I am simply enjoying life right now."
According to him, he did not expect to receive an offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv after hanging up his boots. The club discussed several roles with him, including the possibility of joining as the director of the youth department. However, after reflection, he decided not to take on roles at this stage that would require a major commitment.
"Being a youth department director basically means that you won't be at home with the kids in the afternoon or on the weekend. They are small, and when they are older and won't care about me, then I don't rule out suddenly returning to football."
Yeini said that he still follows Maccabi Tel Aviv matches, but in a less devoted way than before. If he has other plans with friends, he will not necessarily give them up for the sake of the game, though it is always important to him that the team wins. He added that he is in contact with many players and staff, and is happy to see the good start to the season for the 'yellows' despite the lack of significant acquisitions.
In addition, the former captain shared advice for young players, based on his personal experience as someone who was not considered the most prominent talent at the beginning of his path:
"Do not give up, be consistent, and constantly try to improve."
