Barcelona is considering options to replace the injured Dani Olmo, who is sidelined for four weeks with an adductor tear sustained in a 4:2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Manager Hansi Flick is weighing squad alternatives, and young Israeli midfielder Orian Goren has emerged as a potential option.

In an article published by the Catalan outlet Sport, analysts explored how Olmo's absence impacts Barcelona's midfield. While senior players like Fermin Lopez, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, and Pedri are primary candidates for more minutes, the publication also highlighted two talents from the reserve squad: Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara.

Flick could find solutions within the reserves, noting players he evaluated during pre-season who made a strong impression. Both operate as central midfielders for Barcelona Atltic and can capably fill an advanced midfield role if needed.

Sport contrasted the two youngsters, describing Ebrima as an unpredictable box-to-box player with exceptional physical attributes. Goren, meanwhile, excels in one-on-one situations while demonstrating a higher level of involvement in collective team play.
