Real Madrid Faces Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade EuroLeague Clash

Real Madrid will look to extend its positive momentum on Thursday (21:05) when it faces Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade for EuroLeague action. Pedro Martinez's squad is riding a six-game winning streak across all competitions, recovering from three opening European losses to level its record at 3:3.

"We are full of motivation, wanting to play a good game and try to win," Martinez said ahead of the matchup. "We have a lot of respect for our opponent because they won a few days ago at Valencia's arena while playing an excellent game. They have very experienced players who have been playing together for a long time under the same coach."

Martinez also addressed rotation management and the heavy schedule ahead: "We are focused on the games waiting for us right now and using players we believe can deliver the best performance. We also expect to play more than 90 games if everything goes well. We need to manage playing minutes a bit so the team always comes before individual performances."

"As a coach, I cannot be worried about whether a certain player plays a lot or a little," he added. "My responsibility is to the whole team, and I try to make sure everyone is confident and feels important."
