Raviv Drucker in trouble with the Second Authority: "Inappropriate and offensive statement"
The Public Complaints Commissioner at the Second Authority has published a sharp letter against the Reshet 13 presenter following his remarks against Yoseph Haddad, officially determining that it was a racist statement that should not have been made, but emphasizing that Raviv Drucker apologized for his words.
After Shai Glick, CEO of the B'Tsalmo organization, filed a complaint with the Second Authority against Raviv Drucker for calling Yoseph Haddad a "pet Arab," the Public Complaints Commissioner at the Second Authority, David Regev, determined that Raviv Drucker's statement on his program "Azor Bchira" on Reshet 13 regarding Yoseph Haddad from the "Amcha Yisrael" list of Ofer Winter was offensive, inappropriate, and racist. In addition, he noted that the following day, following the uproar, Raviv Drucker apologized for his words.
In a response sent from the Second Authority to the B'Tsalmo organization, it was written:
"Hello. In your attached appeal you complained that during the program 'Azor Bchira' broadcast on Reshet 13 on 26.8.26, the program's presenter Raviv Drucker called Yoseph Haddad a 'pet Arab'.
Following your appeal, the Public Complaints Commission at the Second Authority opened an inquiry during which I watched the content you complained about and requested the response of the broadcasting entity. In its response, the broadcasting entity stated that in the program 'Azor Bchira' broadcast on 27.8.26, the journalist and presenter Raviv Drucker apologized on air for his statement. As mentioned, I watched the content you complained about and found that Drucker's statement was inappropriate and even offensive. The presenter did well to apologize for his statement. I regret the discomfort caused to you by watching the content and thank you for your appeal."
Shai Glick, CEO of B'Tsalmo, stated:
"We will not let racism win. I welcome the commissioner's decision. It is the duty of every presenter and broadcaster on television to respect every person for their beliefs and way of life. The choice to call Yoseph Haddad a 'pet Arab' just because he supports the state is offensive and pathetic, and it is good that Raviv Drucker retracted his words and apologized."
