Raviv Drucker Discusses Ayelet Hassan Departure Amid Broadcasting Controversy
Journalist Raviv Drucker announced on Reshet 13 that anchor Ayelet Hassan is reportedly leaving her broadcaster following a major public uproar over controversial remarks about Arab polling stations.

Israeli journalist and TV anchor Raviv Drucker addressed the recent controversy surrounding Ayelet Hassan during his daily program "Ezor Bechira" on Reshet 13. Drucker stated on air that Hassan is reportedly expected to leave her position as an anchor at the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation following disputed remarks regarding voting procedures in Arab polling stations and Bedouin women.
The controversy erupted after Hassan made controversial on-air statements suggesting irregularities and outside envelopes at polling stations in the Arab sector, alongside comments about Bedouin women. According to Drucker, the head of news division Lior Landenberg demanded a public correction and apology, which Hassan reportedly refused, describing the demand as humiliating before deciding to suspend her weekly program.
During the broadcast, panelist and journalist Baruch Kara sharply criticized Hassan's remarks, labeling them as unacceptable and demanding a public apology. Another guest in the studio, veteran broadcaster Razi Barkai, shifted attention to a separate internal controversy at Reshet 13, condemning recent offensive remarks made by anchor Eyal Berkovic toward Lucy Aish and calling for an immediate apology.
Drucker acknowledged the severity of Berkovic's comments but distinguished between on-air broadcasts and other remarks, while debate continued in the studio regarding journalistic ethics, accountability, and the standards of public discourse across Israeli media channels.
