Iconic West Rishon Seafood Restaurant Founded in 2002 to Close Permanently
Iconic West Rishon seafood restaurant founded by Chef David Avital in 2002 is closing its doors permanently on November 15, ending two decades of culinary nostalgia.

After more than two decades of culinary service, the iconic West Rishon seafood restaurant founded by Chef David "Dudi" Avital in 2002 is closing its doors permanently. Originally established as a large seafood venue, Avital initially noted that kosher restrictions were limiting, though the restaurant later evolved to incorporate a meat menu and a private event space accommodating up to 100 guests.
Renowned for its signature parade of approximately 15 complimentary house salads served with main courses and offering unlimited refills, the establishment became a local institution. Over the years, its diverse menu featured standout dishes such as cheese-stuffed trout, fish and eggplant moussaka, blue shore crabs, seafood risotto, pappardelle, and shrimp paired with goose breast.
As the area nightlife developed, the restaurant also introduced a late-night menu tailored to local revelers, introducing contemporary items like black risotto and shrimp salad. Diners seeking a dose of early 2000s culinary nostalgia are invited to visit and bid farewell before the restaurant closes permanently on November 15.
