Rami Levy against himself: The surprising price gap between the supermarket and the stock store

An intriguing check broadcast this evening on the program "Gilboa Index" on i24NEWS examined the prices of the same products at the "Rami Levy Shivuk HaShikma" branch in Pardes Hanna compared to the nearby "Rami Levy Stock" branch, located about a minute's drive away, and found surprising price gaps in several categories.

The check revealed that "Shokolit" was sold at the supermarket for 14.90 shekels compared to 14.20 shekels at the Stock, while a bottle of Osem ketchup was one shekel cheaper at the Stock store. Notable gaps were also found in fabric softeners, with "Badin Extra" and "Maxima" softeners sold at lower prices at the Stock, with gaps of 19% and 26%, respectively.

Gaps were also recorded for other products. A bag of "Doritos" was sold for 3.90 shekels at the supermarket compared to 2.90 shekels at the Stock, and "Beit HaShita" pickles cost 10.90 shekels at the supermarket compared to 7.90 shekels at the Stock.

The largest gap found was in the field of dishwasher capsules. At the supermarket, a pack of 60 "Finish Quantum" capsules was sold for 63 shekels, while at the Stock store, a pack of 50 capsules of the same brand was sold for 23.90 shekels. According to the calculation presented in the report, this is a gap of 55% in the price per capsule.

At the same time, the "Rami Levy Stock" chain continues to expand. After opening the first branch in Pardes Hanna, the company is expected to open another branch in the last third of August at the Ramlod Mall, which will cover an area of about 3,000 square meters. The new branch will sell, among other things, tools, school supplies, and cars, alongside special launch promotions.
