Former Israeli Minister and Chef Open Kosher Weekend Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Former Education Minister Rabbi Shay Piron has embarked on a surprising new chapter, partnering with international chef Ohad Amzalg to open a high-end chef restaurant on Lilienblum Street in Tel Aviv. Amzalg is returning to Israel after achieving critical acclaim in Paris with his restaurant Gefen, which earned a prestigious Michelin guide recommendation.

The new Tel-Aviv establishment will offer elegant French-chic cuisine with a unique concept: it will be kosher, yet unusually for the local landscape, it will also operate during weekends.

For Piron, this venture is a direct continuation of his social agenda bridging religious and secular gaps in Israeli society.
