The Spanish newspaper Marca has described 17-year-old Israeli midfielder Orian Goren as La Masia's new gem, as he emerges as a strong candidate to be included in Barcelona's squad for the upcoming El Clasico.

According to Marca, Goren could be the main surprise in the squad list announced by manager Hansi Flick. If selected, the young midfielder will make his debut in the senior team squad during the most high-profile match in the Spanish league.

Flick is already well-acquainted with Goren, who participated in the senior team's pre-season preparations, including the Joan Gamper Trophy match. Goren trained under the German coach on Friday and Saturday, solidifying his status as a key player for Barcelona Atletic, the club's reserve team.

The potential call-up comes in the wake of Dani Olmo's injury, which will sideline the midfielder for the coming weeks. Goren has established himself as a regular starter in the midfield, and his inclusion in the El Clasico squad would mark a major milestone in his career development.
