Chairman of the "Amha Yisrael" party, Ofer Winter, delivered a statement this evening, Wednesday, in Tel Aviv. "In recent days, we see how they are trying to dismantle us in every part, briefing, running spins," Winter said at the beginning of his remarks. "Friends, I tell you in a clear voice, this will not work. The people of Israel are looking for something else, not more 'chair-ology' — but ideology and integrity."

He added that his party "will not enter a government that does not pass, before its formation, a law that puts an end to draft evasion and requires everyone to report and contribute. If this does not happen — we will not be in the government." He rejected the mergers, adding: "We will not break apart, we will not put two people here and two people there. I say this to all my friends on the right and also to the Prime Minister."

Last week, Winter declared: "We do not work for any person, only for the people of Israel. We are in the right-wing camp and the leader of the right-wing camp is Netanyahu. We will only recommend him, but we will not dance to anyone's flute." Winter refused offers from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to unite with Bezalel Smotrich or Itamar Ben Gvir.
