Ofer Winter and Yosef Haddad in advanced negotiations for a joint run
Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter is working to form a new right-wing party, with plans to announce it as early as next week. He has been in talks with advocacy activist Yosef Haddad and bereaved mother Lali Deri.

Ofer Winter is working to establish a new right-wing party under his leadership and has been conducting advanced negotiations in recent days with several prominent figures, including advocacy activist Yosef Haddad, whose talks were revealed on ynet earlier this week, and bereaved mother Lali Deri, who previously ran in the Likud primaries.
Just two days ago, it was learned that Haddad is behind the request recently submitted to establish a party named "Yisrael Amitza" (Brave Israel). Although his name does not appear in the party's documents, sources familiar with the process indicate it is a list on his behalf. According to these sources, he held talks about a possible connection with Winter, who has maintained ambiguity, responding only: "Patience."
Deri, who lost her son Saadia in the "Iron Swords" war in Gaza, is a resident of Eli in the Binyamin region and identifies with religious Zionism. She is a member of the political movement "Ma'aminim" (Believers), which seeks to work for a different representation of the religious-Zionist sector in politics, distinct from Bezalel Smotrich.
Political sources state that Winter is attempting to establish a new right-wing party despite the crowded political landscape, arguing that Likud and other veteran parties in the Netanyahu bloc will not succeed in bringing back right-wing voters disappointed by the coalition. According to Winter's stated principles, the party will be part of the right-wing bloc but will not agree to form a government with "Yashar!" chairman Gadi Eizenkot, against whom Winter often speaks harshly. Winter has stated that he aspires to bring only new people into the political system and is not interested in a connection with Smotrich or Ben Gvir, nor in a reserved spot in Likud.
On behalf of Winter, the response remains: "Patience." On behalf of Haddad, it was stated:
"Advocacy activist Yosef Haddad is considering entering political life and has been dealing with this idea in recent times, holding dialogue and meetings with various figures and examining his steps. He will make a decision soon."
No response was received on behalf of Deri.
