The surprising union that could change everything: a new mandate poll
New poll data reveals an extremely tight battle between the blocs, where a joint run of several parties currently not passing the electoral threshold could propel them to a dramatic figure.
A new poll by Channel 16, conducted by the Maagar Mohot institute under the management of Prof. Yitzhak Katz, presents an extremely tense picture of the political blocs alongside the possibility of a political upheaval in the event of unions in the center-right. In the current state of forces, the Netanyahu bloc stands at 54 mandates, the bloc of his opponents holds 55 mandates, and the Arab parties receive 11 mandates.
In the distribution of mandates, the "Yashar" party takes first place with 20 seats, followed by the Likud party with a narrow gap of 19 seats. The "Beihad" party shows significant strength with 18 seats, while the "Democrats" stand at 10 seats.
Otzma Yehudit and Shas parties receive 9 seats each. A series of parties stands at 7 seats: United Torah Judaism, Yisrael Beiteinu, and the Joint List. At the bottom of the map of those passing are the Religious Zionism-Identity and the "Amcha Yisrael" party with 5 seats each, and Ra'am closes the list with 4 seats.
Below the electoral threshold remain HaBayit HaTzioni (3%), the Economic Party (2.7%), HaAchdut (1.4%), Blue and White (1%), and the Haredi Public (1%).
The poll examines a dramatic scenario in which four of the parties that are not currently passing—Blue and White, HaBayit HaTzioni, HaAchdut, and the Economic Party—run on one united list. In such a situation, the united list jumps to 9 seats and changes the map of advantages.
