Ultra-Orthodox Public Party files major lawsuit: "Proceeds will go to the campaign"
Upon its establishment, the Ultra-Orthodox Public Party is threatening a lawsuit following blunt accusations regarding its chairman's motives. The party stated that the lawsuit is underway and that any proceeds will be transferred directly to its campaign.
The Ultra-Orthodox Public Party was established on Monday and is already causing a stir. Chairman Moti Leitner is leading a firm line against the central Ultra-Orthodox parties, Shas and United Torah Judaism, declaring that anyone who does not study will serve in the IDF.
Due to these remarks, an unofficial page identifying as the youth wing of the Degel HaTorah party responded that Leitner "continues to recycle the talking points of the donors from Kaplan," adding that anyone who does not fall in line with his "atmosphere party" is labeled a "thug."
They further stated: "Taking responsibility is fighting for the world of Torah from within, not burning votes outside for a newspaper headline and foreign funding. The public is not a sucker." The new party did not back down and announced that "the lawsuit is on the way" due to the blunt accusations. "The proceeds will be transferred directly to the Ultra-Orthodox Public Party campaign," they specified.
Degel HaTorah youth concluded: "When there are no answers and no voters, they pull out lawsuit threats from a shelf party under pressure. Don't forget to bring the donors for character testimony in court; maybe along the way they will also close the campaign guarantee for you. Waiting!"
