The North is growing again: The first structures were placed in Kibbutz Dafna

Another step in strengthening the northern border communities: 11 first modular structures were brought this morning to Kibbutz Dafna in the Upper Galilee as part of the "Growth Neighborhoods" project designed to enable the absorption of new families in the kibbutz.

The structures were placed after land preparation, earthworks, and the installation of initial infrastructure, including drainage and electricity. The works are led by the Settlement Division of the World Zionist Organization, in partnership with the Ministry of Settlement and National Missions, the Tnufa Administration, the Upper Galilee Regional Council, and the management of Kibbutz Dafna.

According to the Settlement Division, this is the first move of a wider project, within which hundreds of additional structures are expected to arrive at the northern border communities, with the goal of strengthening settlement in the region and enabling new families to take root in the Galilee.

Ishay Merling, Chairman of the Settlement Division, said:

"We were moved to place the first structures of the 'Growth Neighborhoods' project in Dafna this morning. This is the first swallow. As part of the project, hundreds more structures will arrive at all the northern border communities."

Merling added: "Behind every structure stands a family that chooses to build its home and tie its future to the Galilee. Our mission is to give the residents and the new families the best conditions to take root and grow."
