Ministry of Health halts new admissions at Petah Tikva assisted living facility

The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that following a surprise inspection at the "Nof HaMoshavah" assisted living facility in Petah Tikva, it has issued a partial administrative order to immediately halt the admission of new patients.

Findings from the inspection revealed significant deficiencies in medication inventory management, including shortages for several residents and a lack of emergency medication stock. This is a recurring issue that was previously identified during a prior inspection. Furthermore, it was discovered that the nursing ward lacks a functional hoist for moving heavy-weight patients.

The terms of the order stipulate that, effective immediately, no new patients may be admitted to the facility from any funding source until all deficiencies are rectified to the satisfaction of the Ministry of Health. Current residents will remain in the facility, and the missing medications have since been replenished following the ministry's intervention.
