Minister David Amsalem met with PM Netanyahu: An unexpected surprise

Minister David Amsalem met on Tuesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss pressing national issues and the challenges facing the State of Israel. However, the meeting took an unexpected turn when the Prime Minister's staff surprised Amsalem with a birthday celebration.

Amsalem shared a recording of the moment on social media today, noting that he was completely unaware of the surprise:

«There are moments that remind you that life is much more than politics. I sat yesterday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We talked, as always, about the things that are truly important. About our country, about the challenges ahead of us, and about the path that still awaits us.»

According to the minister, he only realized during the meeting that the staff had prepared a gesture for his birthday. «And then, without me knowing, his wonderful team surprised me. I admit that I was moved,» he shared.

Amsalem also reflected on his long-standing relationship with Netanyahu and the political path they have traveled together: «After so many years of struggles, decisions, difficult days, and also great moments, there is something special in a small and simple moment of friendship.»

In conclusion, he thanked the Prime Minister and his staff: «Thank you, Prime Minister, for the blessing, for the friendship, and for the shared path. And thank you to the lovely team for the surprise and for the big heart. We continue together. We still have much to do for the people of Israel.»
