The Likud party published a sharp and unusual response on Monday against Knesset member Tali Gottlieb, following remarks she made against the party leadership and its head. The party completely rejected the Knesset member's words and clarified unequivocally:

"Regarding MK Gottlieb's claim as if there is a hidden plea bargain, then of course it is an absolute lie, devoid of any basis."

This attack by Likud comes after Knesset member Gottlieb accused the Prime Minister's circle of attempting to carry out a "targeted killing" against her during the party primaries. Gottlieb claimed that despite the campaign conducted against her, she managed to reach 12th place thanks to the trust of right-wing voters, but due to reserved spots, she was pushed to 20th place on the list for the Knesset.

According to her, figures in the campaign continued to brief against her and present her as a weakening factor within the faction. In addition, Gottlieb claimed that the Prime Minister sidelined her from the election campaign and decided not to allow her to serve as Minister of Justice or even as Chair of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee. The Knesset member added that she was elected to lead to right-wing governance and to curb what she defined as the excessive power of the Supreme Court, but campaign officials chose to avoid dealing with this issue. According to her, these decisions pushed her to the edge with the goal of hiding her from the political front.
