National Insurance Institute announces updated payment schedule for August
The National Insurance Institute has published its updated payment dates for August. Due to the weekend, some benefits will be paid earlier, while the average payment amount has reached 5,280 shekels following indexation.
August has arrived, and as every month, the National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) is distributing grants and allowances to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. The ice website provides a breakdown of the payment schedule, reporting deadlines, and the updated average payment amounts.
The first benefits to be deposited this month are unemployment benefits and income support, scheduled for payment on 12.8. The reporting and payment deadline for insurance contributions for self-employed individuals and employers, typically set for 15.8, has been moved up to 13.8, as the original date falls on a Saturday.
Child allowances are scheduled to be deposited on 20.8. The remaining benefits, originally set for 28.8 (a Friday), will be paid one day earlier, on Thursday, 27.8.

As of the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following the latest update, the average allowance across all categories is approximately 5,280 shekels.
