The surprising combination that becomes the most indulgent toast of the summer
A little trick with butter and sugar turns a simple sandwich into a hot, crispy, and highly addictive dessert. No special ingredients and not much work: the toast that combines sweet, salty, and crunch in every bite.

If you thought you had seen it all in the world of toasts, you should think again. The combination of yellow cheese and chocolate has long been known to fans of sweet and salty, but this recipe takes the indulgent classic one step further thanks to a simple trick that creates a crispy, caramelized shell that you cannot stop snacking on.
The secret is not in another layer of butter, but in a quick caramel paste that you spread on the outside of the bread.
A combination of butter, white sugar, and powdered sugar creates a crispy, golden, and crackling coating during frying. Inside, melted yellow cheese and rich dark chocolate await, connecting into a perfect bite of sweet, salty, and bitter.
Ingredients:
-
2 slices of bread (any bread you want)
-
A slice of yellow cheese
-
2-3 chocolate cubes
-
3 tablespoons of soft butter at room temperature
-
½ tablespoon of powdered sugar
-
½ tablespoon of white sugar
Preparation method:
Prepare the coating
Mix the soft butter, powdered sugar, and white sugar in a small bowl until you get a smooth and uniform paste. The powdered sugar is absorbed into the butter, while the white sugar creates the crispy texture during frying.
Assemble the toast
Place the yellow cheese on one slice of bread, sprinkle the dark chocolate cubes on top, and close with the second slice. The cheese will melt around the chocolate and create an especially rich filling.
Apply the coating
Spread a generous and uniform layer of the butter and sugar paste on both outer sides of the toast.
Fry until golden
Heat a pan over low-medium heat and place the toast. Fry for a few minutes on each side, until the shell becomes golden, caramelized, and crispy, and the cheese and chocolate are completely melted.
Serve immediately, while the toast is still hot, the crust is crispy, and the center is stretchy and runny. It is recommended to cut diagonally and serve alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a little coarse salt on top, for those who like to enhance the contrast between sweet and salty.
