The Likud party announced on Wednesday that ahead of the upcoming election cycle, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to appoint Knesset member Avichai Boaron as the director of the movement's field headquarters. As part of his new role, Boaron will be a full partner in the party's election campaign management team and will be directly responsible for all of Likud's field activities until election day.
The appointment follows a meeting this week between Boaron and Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the party's preparations for the elections, the work of various headquarters, and the strengthening of the movement's field infrastructure. It was agreed that Boaron would head the field headquarters, overseeing municipal activity, coordination with branches and activists, and the voter mobilization mechanism.
Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the appointment, noting the impressive organizational and field capabilities Boaron demonstrated while leading rallies in support of the government two years ago, and highlighting his extensive expertise in mobilization. Knesset member Boaron thanked the Prime Minister for his trust and emphasized:
«The secret of the Likud movement's strength has always been and remains the field, the activists, and the branches that are connected to our path. Together, we will bring a great victory to the national camp».
