Former Beitar Jerusalem coach purchased an apartment in a 17-story tower in Ashkelon

Former footballer and former Beitar Jerusalem coach, Barak Yitzhaki, has purchased a three-room apartment in the JADE project by the Gohari-Afriat company in the Ir HaYayin neighborhood in Ashkelon, Globes has learned. The apartment, which has an area of about 80 square meters and a balcony of about 10 square meters, is located on the tenth floor - the jersey number that accompanied Yitzhaki throughout his playing career.

The project includes two 17-story residential towers containing 116 housing units, located above a commercial avenue, and the value of the deal is estimated at about 2 million shekels. Recently, Gohari-Afriat signed a financial support agreement with Phoenix, which will finance the construction of the project.

The Ir HaYayin neighborhood is considered one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Ashkelon, partly due to its proximity to Highway 4 and the train station. The neighborhood's planning includes employment areas, commerce, educational institutions, and green spaces, including the Ir HaYayin park.

Dudu Afriat, one of the owners of Gohari-Afriat, addressed the deal and said that it is a "significant expression of confidence" in the momentum of Ashkelon's development and the quality of the project, when a native of the city and a well-known athlete chooses to purchase an apartment in it. Yitzhaki, for his part, described the purchase as a personal "closing of a circle" - returning to invest specifically in the city where he grew up, and in its new neighborhood.

Gohari-Afriat is a development and construction company owned by Dudu Afriat and Yosef Gohari, which holds a portfolio of land in the center, the Shephelah, and the south, and is currently promoting permits and additional plans for plots it owns.
