The mother of 'Big Brother' star Chen Kraunik is moving to the political arena: Sigal Kraunik has been placed on the list of 'Amcha Yisrael', the new party launched by Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter ahead of the elections for the 26th Knesset.

Sigal is the widow of the late Arik Kraunik, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Be'eri who fell in battle on October 7. Her son, Chen, was one of the figures on the 'Big Brother' program, where he shared with the entire country the difficult loss, the family's struggle, and memories of his father.

Alongside Kraunik, the list includes other well-known names from the public and media spheres, including advocacy activist Yoseph Haddad and journalist Netali Shem Tov. The emerging list places extensive emphasis on representing reservists, field personnel, and bereaved families.

In his official launch speech, Winter clarified that the party presents a "team of simple people and not politicians," who came to serve the public and did not take part in the failures of October 7. For Sigal Kraunik, joining the race constitutes another step in continuing public work and voicing the concerns of the residents of the Gaza envelope and the bereaved families.
