Minister Strock on Channel 14 investigation: "We were the first to identify it"

Minister of Settlements Orit Strock of the Religious Zionism party commented on Thursday regarding the investigation by our Arab affairs correspondent, Omri Haim, in his film "Mansour Abbas, the Polite Jihad." She stated:

"Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and I were the first to identify and warn about the ties of Mansour Abbas and the Ra'am party with the Islamic Movement."

In a statement issued on her behalf, the minister claimed that beyond identifying the ties between members of the Ra'am party and the Islamic Movement, she and Smotrich were the first to prevent the formation of a government relying on them:

"In the 22nd Knesset, when Ra'am provided the 61st vote upon which the 'change' government coalition relied, I conducted a series of parliamentary procedures intended to expose the involvement of Ra'am and its subsidiaries in terrorism."

Attached to Strock's statement were documents and video recordings from Knesset sessions, which, according to her, support another claim: during the tenure of the "change" government, MK Yoav Segalovitz, who served as Deputy Minister of Public Security, attempted to cover up data regarding the improper ties between Abbas and his party with the Islamic Movement.

As previously reported, the documentary film "Mansour Abbas, the Polite Jihad" was broadcast on Channel 14 this week. Since its release, the film has sparked numerous reactions from senior figures in the Israeli public sphere, including Avi Maoz, Almog Cohen, and Moshe Feiglin, among others.
