Minister Gamliel to Netanyahu: Reserve a spot for a 'Force 100' soldier on the Likud list

Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Gila Gamliel suggested on Wednesday, during an interview on the 'Open Studio' program with Boaz Golan, that a representative from among reserve soldiers be included in the Likud list for the Knesset, specifically raising the possibility of a 'Force 100' soldier.

According to Gamliel, reserved spots in the party list can be used to add figures who will strengthen the Likud and represent different segments of the public. "Reserved spots offer an opportunity to provide reinforcements to the Likud," the minister explained.

As an example, Gamliel suggested placing a representative from 'Force 100' on the list:

"It is possible to come and place one of the 'Force 100' soldiers at the forefront to represent the reservists."

She argued that integrating such a representative would allow their personal experiences and claims regarding the conduct of the military judicial system to be voiced. "It is also to share their personal experience of being harmed as a result of the corrupt judicial system that exists even within the military apparatus," she claimed.

Gamliel added that adding such a representative might provide proper representation for the reservist public, calling the move a "correction" that would provide "added value to the Likud movement."

The minister's statements come against the backdrop of pressure being exerted on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reduce the number of reserved spots approved by the convention, in order to allow more Knesset members to be integrated into realistic spots on the list.
