Irit Linor: Women do not need help in politics

During the program 'The Patriots', a heated discussion developed regarding the status of women in Israeli politics. Irit Linor addressed the ongoing debate on the subject firmly, and rejected outright the claim that women need special assistance to integrate into the political arena. She emphasized that women are strong enough to pave their way on their own.

The panelist referred to what she defined as a 'debate, argument, fight' over the question of whether women 'live in a false consciousness and one needs to open doors for them because otherwise they cannot do it alone'. She clarified: 'We are in 2026. A woman who wants to run for politics can do it, she has all the tools. The fact is that there are those who succeeded'.

According to her, there is no need to treat women as 'a poor thing that we need to remove the thorns for', but rather to recognize their independent abilities. She even added in a humorous tone: 'It is true that I am reserved here as a girl, but I also think that it is generally because they could not find anyone as good as me'.
