An indictment was filed this morning, Thursday, against Yahav Yossi Tamozarti, a 25-year-old resident of Modi'in who was exposed in a Channel 13 investigative report for operating an unauthorized car dealership that sold dangerously defective vehicles.

According to the investigation, the suspect operated a lot located in the West Bank settlement of Sarei Tsofar in the Binyamin region. The scheme offered seemingly affordable used cars, but buyers soon discovered the vehicles suffered from severe mechanical failures, had their odometer readings tampered with, or had been written off following major accidents.

Despite the broadcast of the initial exposé, the lot continued to sell unsafe automobiles to unsuspecting buyers, prompting additional complaints. Investigators revealed that cars were transferred without proper disclosure of their accident history, accompanied by falsified purchase contracts or withheld paperwork entirely.

Following a joint raid conducted about a month and a half ago by the Modi'in Illit police, the Tax Authority, the Israel Electric Corporation, and the Civil Administration, authorities arrested the owner and seized documents, substantial cash, and computers from his residence.
