A 29-year-old resident of central Israel has been charged with an extensive pattern of severe domestic violence against his wife, including repeated physical assaults, choking, and death threats referencing a high-profile murder case. According to the indictment filed in the case, the defendant faces 11 counts of abuse, which took place over the course of their two-year marriage.

Among the chilling threats documented in court papers, the man told his wife she would "end up like Lia Malka and your baby will be left without a mother," invoking the young woman killed in a car bombing on the Ayalon Highway. Investigators found that five of the alleged assaults occurred while the victim was pregnant. In one harrowing incident during advanced pregnancy, after the woman locked herself in a bedroom during an argument, the defendant forced the door open, threw a spoon at her, and punched her in the head so violently that she lost control of her bladder while trying to protect her stomach.

The abuse continued relentlessly after the birth of the couple's daughter, now about a year old. The indictment outlines multiple instances where the defendant kicked her, tore her clothing, and isolated her. In October, following a dispute over Sabbath preparations, he allegedly choked her with a necklace, chased her down after she fled, and kicked her in the back. Another violent episode left the victim with a broken rib after she screamed for police assistance while being beaten on the floor.

Police gathered substantial evidence, including text messages and audio recordings documenting admissions of guilt alongside threats. When the victim messaged him that he had broken her ribs, the defendant replied, "Did you tell anyone?!" and in a separate chat wrote, "I told you I'm sorry." During police interrogation, the suspect denied all allegations, dismissing one of the incriminating audio recordings as fabricated.
