Shameful incident on Highway 4: Drivers loot truck after fatal accident
In a recent fatal accident, footage from the scene shocked the public. While the truck driver was killed on the spot, passing motorists began looting the spilled merchandise.
Traffic fatalities continue to rise at a disturbing pace, yet the behavior of many Israelis passing by scenes of severe accidents reveals a troubling trend.
On Thursday, a truck driver in his 50s was killed in a fatal accident on Highway 4, near the Holot interchange and Rishon LeZion. The collision involved a private vehicle and a truck, leaving the driver trapped inside the cabin. MADA teams summoned to the scene pronounced his death.
However, footage circulated online from the scene shows a highly cynical situation. Passing motorists stopped on the shoulder, appearing to offer assistance, but instead began loading their vehicles with merchandise that had spilled from the damaged truck.
"Drivers stopped on the shoulder, got out of their cars, and shamelessly looted it. They stole boxes full of products. These are sights that remind us of Gaza," said an eyewitness in shock. "A person was killed and people are looting his merchandise. How far has the morality of the people of Israel deteriorated?"
Another eyewitness described the scene as "embarrassing and shameful":
"Drivers looted everything that was lying there. A person was killed in a fatal accident and people, without a drop of shame, are stealing everything they can get their hands on, as if nothing happened."
The video, published on news channels, has sparked widespread outrage, with many describing the incident as a complete moral collapse.
