Hamas Demands Broad Action Abroad as Security Tightens in Gaza
Hamas demanded broader protests from Palestinians abroad as the war in Gaza escalates. Meanwhile, internal security tightened protocols for operatives following recent targeted strikes.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem called for broad and impactful actions by Palestinians abroad amid the escalating war in Gaza. He criticized the current level of activism abroad as insufficient given the large Palestinian population in major capitals.
Qassem urged representatives and faction leaders abroad to launch serious campaigns pressuring all parties to stop the war and support Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas complained that Israel continues targeting operatives in displacement tent camps and residential neighborhoods.
In response to targeted eliminations, Hamas internal security tightened security protocols for its operatives. Operatives were ordered to avoid moving in street gatherings to prevent detection by reconnaissance drones, spy devices, or informants.
Security officials also warned against suspicious text messages purportedly from Israeli intelligence containing fake links and codes. Operatives were instructed to remain highly vigilant during increased reconnaissance drone activity.
