Protesters Block Aid Trucks at Kerem Shalom

Scores of residents from the Gaza envelope blocked aid trucks at the Kerem Shalom crossing on Thursday morning. Demonstrators demanded an immediate halt to the entry of supplies, arguing that the aid strengthens Hamas and allows the terrorist organization to rebuild its capabilities.

Hundreds of trucks are flowing back into the Gaza Strip to enrich Hamas, the protesters said, condemning the ongoing transfer of goods.

Criticism from Victims' Families

Nissim Louk, whose daughter Shani Louk was murdered during the October 7 massacre, participated in the demonstration and criticized the government. He claimed that the trucks carry materials intended for construction rather than mere humanitarian relief.

A fully right-wing government is establishing a Palestinian state in Gaza. The trucks we are blocking carry not only food but materials for building a Palestinian state, Louk said.

Demands for Demilitarization

Yael Sabriago, a leader of the Tzav 9 movement, called to condition any future aid on the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the total dismantling of Hamas. Security forces continue to monitor the demonstrations amid ongoing tensions over the humanitarian supply chain.
