Last year, Hankerson filed a complaint with adult protective services in North Carolina, accusing McDowell of psychological and financial abuse. While Knight previously denied these claims, stating she feels healthy and happy, her son insists he is only trying to ensure her well-being and access to resources.
I am worried about her all the time. I can't watch videos or things people send me. I have to block everything, Hankerson said.
