Mano Geva, veteran pollster and head of the Midgam polling institute, announced on Saturday evening that he is suspending his political polling partnership with Channel 12. The decision follows notable discrepancies between the exit poll results broadcast at 10:00 PM and the actual election returns from polling stations.

Appearing on the current affairs program hosted by Ofira Asayag and Ilanit Levy, Geva addressed the gaps and confirmed that a formal notice regarding the suspension had already been sent to the network. "We decided at Midgam to suspend cooperation with Channel 12 on political matters and sent a written notification," Geva told the hosts. "We believe a timeout is necessary."

Elaborating on the reasons behind the move, Geva explained that working with the major news outlet has become increasingly demanding. "Working with Channel 12 is very difficult, drains a tremendous amount of energy, and comes with a price. After such a long period during which we consistently delivered excellent results, I think the time has come to take a moment and pause," he concluded.
