Gett is launching a new pilot service in which approximately 350 drivers connected to the application will be equipped with safety seats (boosters) from the brand Cybex, intended for children aged 3 and up. Drivers will undergo dedicated training by Cybex for proper use and safe installation, and the addition of the seat will be offered to parents at no extra cost beyond the metered fare.

The pilot will begin in August and will operate in the first stage for trips within Tel Aviv only, between 08:00 and 20:00. The service will allow parents to order taxis equipped with a booster directly via the application, and it is expected to expand later depending on its success. Gett notes that this is the first step in a broader initiative to launch additional capabilities and improvements designed to strengthen the sense of security in trips ordered through the app.

The move is intended to give parents peace of mind, even though the law does not mandate the use of safety seats in taxi rides.

Daniel Korkus, VP of Marketing at Gett, stated:

"We are constantly looking for ways to make using the application more convenient and safer, from the booking process to the end of the trip. The collaboration with Cybex was born out of a real need of many parents and allows us to offer a high-quality solution that raises the safety standard in travel."

Noa Salomon, VP of Marketing at CYBEX, added:

"Child safety does not start and end in the private car. In every trip, children must be buckled into a safety seat that is appropriate for their age, weight, and height, and is installed correctly."
