Gadi Eizenkot Announces Gender Equality Commitments Ahead of Knesset Elections
Yashar party chairman Gadi Eizenkot has signed the Women Directors Forum charter, pledging to ensure equal gender representation on his party list and to advocate for women in senior government roles.
A new political commitment has been made ahead of the upcoming elections: the chairman of the Yashar party, Gadi Eizenkot, has signed the charter of the Women Directors Forum of the Israel Directors Association. The charter calls for ensuring equal representation of women in decision-making centers and public leadership in Israel.
The signing event was attended by Knesset members, female candidates for the upcoming elections, and members of the forum. Alongside Eizenkot were the CEO of the Directors Association Hadar Tzofiof HaCohen, the chair of the Women Directors Forum CPA Regina Unger, and the chair of the forum's political leadership committee Mira Altman. Eizenkot's signature joins a broad initiative led by the forum ahead of the elections, following Naftali Bennett's signature, with further commitments expected from Yair Golan and Avigdor Lieberman.
"Women should have a place at the decision-making table — as a matter of right, not favor," Eizenkot noted at the event.
He recalled that as IDF Chief of Staff, he ordered the pilot program for integrating women into the Armored Corps, emphasizing that the leadership he believes in proactively removes barriers and allows everyone to advance based on skills and excellence, regardless of gender.
At the conclusion of his remarks, the Yashar party chairman pledged that his party's list for the Knesset would maintain equal representation of women and men, and that the party would work to integrate women into senior management positions in the next government.
