Facing the sea, in a place everyone knows: the legendary corner has returned to life

There is no Herzliya resident who does not know the colorful arches on the descent to HaSharon Beach from De Shalit Square, one of the city's symbols and an integral part of the local landscape. The structure and the colorful arches that stood abandoned for years have returned to life and become one of the most relevant locations in the area. Meet "Cafe Keshet," a super cute place for an atmosphere in the summer days, to relax a bit before or after the sea.

In the morning hours, you will find a display case of elaborate sandwiches, morning pastries, and a healthy menu also adapted for athletes. Already from the morning hours, the place offers an atmosphere suitable both for a short stop before a day at the sea and for starting the day at a more relaxed pace.

Towards evening, the place changes its atmosphere, the kitchen opens, and a variety of dishes are served on the tables, such as pizzas from a stone oven, fresh fish, a smashburger that is already emerging as the place's signature dish, alongside changing dishes according to the season, raw materials, and the character of the evening. The combination of food, location, and the open view of the sea makes these hours an especially interesting part of the experience.

We were there on an evening when a DJ played 80s hits from old records, which contributed a lot to the atmosphere. There is an option to take a mat and sit in the grass corners facing the sunset, sunrise, and the sea breeze, so the place feels less like another cafe and more like a summer meeting point facing the sea.

The arches have returned, and this time there is also something to eat.

The location and music were excellent, and the general atmosphere is great. The place is really, really new, about a month old, and therefore as far as service is concerned, there is still room for recovery and improvement, as part of natural birth pangs and the trial run. The food and wine are excellent, and even if there is room for improvement in some things, it is really not critical. In terms of price, the place is a bit expensive, but the experience and the location definitely win.

Margherita pizza (74 NIS): was excellent. The dough is excellent — thin, crispy, and airy, with a glaze of olive oil on top.
Green salad (59 NIS): was excellent and fresh, with a great dressing, only they forgot to put the apple in for us.
Tomato salad (62 NIS): tasty and fresh, but overall tomatoes with mozzarella.
Smashburger (72 NIS + 12 NIS potato side): was tasty. The brioche bun was soft and excellent. The smash itself, including two hamburgers, is tasty but was a bit dry, and the potatoes on the side were wow.
Cheese plate (82 NIS): the cheeses themselves are wow, but the quantity compared to the price is quite expensive, so it was a bit disappointing.
Roast beef (72 NIS): was tasty, and together with the garlic and mustard, very successful.
Dessert, creme brulee: with a Sicilian lemon coating, a combination that was a bit strange but overall nice.
Sheep Sauvignon Blanc wine, New Zealand (52 NIS per glass / 208 NIS per bottle): it was tasty and fresh, and went great with everything.
