Mexican influencer Cesar Gastelum was shot to death on Tuesday during a live broadcast. Gastelum, who had nearly 600,000 followers on TikTok and was known for his comedy videos, was broadcasting outside a fast-food restaurant in the city of Culiacan in northwestern Mexico when two men riding a motorcycle approached him. In a video circulated on social media, it appears that after looking at him for a few seconds, the motorcycle driver shot directly at him while his two friends shouted: "Hey, no!".

A security source confirmed Gastelum's death and stated that a significant security operation is underway following the incident. The murder occurred against the backdrop of ongoing violence in Culiacan, which has become a focal point of conflict between rival factions of organized crime groups fighting for control of the area.

Just a few months ago, Valeria Marquez, a 23-year-old influencer from Mexico, was also murdered in a live broadcast. This happened while she was sharing with her 200,000 viewers that she had received an "expensive gift" from a fan just minutes earlier. At first, everything seemed calm; Marquez smiled at the camera and continued to apply makeup. But suddenly, her expression changed. She went silent for a moment and said fearfully:

"They are coming."

Moments later, a man entered the place, addressed her by name: "Hey, Valeria?", and the moment she answered, he pulled out a gun and shot her three times in the chest. The tragic incident took place in front of tens of thousands of viewers in the live broadcast, which remained active even after the shooting. One of the women present at the scene picked up the phone, and on the screen, Marquez could still be seen lying on the floor, wounded and helpless.
