Duvdevan Forces Arrest Armed Terror Suspect Near Ramallah

Duvdevan unit fighters arrested Palestinian suspect Ismail Ankayu in the West Bank village of Bitunya near Ramallah after a four-day intelligence and operational manhunt. The armed suspect was arrested as security agencies assessed he intended to carry out an immediate terror attack. The manhunt began following intelligence from Shin Bet indicating the suspect's intent to strike. Following his arrest, Ankayu was transferred to Shin Bet for interrogation regarding his plans and potential ties to other terrorist elements. The arrest occurs amid a significant reinforcement of IDF forces in the Judea and Samaria division, with two additional battalions arriving to bring the total to 26 deployed battalions. IDF and Shin Bet have recently identified increasing attempts by Iran, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad to promote terrorist activities in the West Bank through funding, cell formation, and social media incitement.
