Drama in Likud: The recount that could push Gila Gamliel out of the Knesset

Minister of Science and Technology Gila Gamliel filed a petition this evening, Tuesday, to the Likud party court demanding to stop the recount of the primary election results in the Be'er Ya'akov branch. This comes after the Likud election committee ordered a recount of the votes in the branch today due to irregularities found there.
Gamliel fears that Eti Atiya, an associate of Likud Central Committee chairman Haim Katz, will overtake her thanks to the recount and rise at her expense to the 25th spot, reserved for the woman who was elected third in the primaries. If Gamliel is pushed out of this spot, she will plummet down to an unrealistic spot in the fourth ten and be excluded from the Knesset.
In Gamliel's office, they accused this evening that the head of Katz's staff was allowed to enter the recount, while a representative on behalf of Gamliel was not admitted.
From Gamliel's circle it was stated: "Who is this Eti Atiya, who arrived at Likud in a snap move and is trying to carry out actions that are apparently election theft? The public's eyes see who is the woman who, under the sponsorship of patron Haim Katz, is trying to turn Likud into a crime family."
