One of the most recognizable addresses in Tel Aviv is returning to activity, this time through the kitchen of chef Haim Cohen. The new restaurant complex at Dizengoff 99 is opening these days, and in the first stage, offers breakfast and brunch with local, seasonal, and personal cuisine by Cohen. Later, an Italian restaurant and an Asian bar are expected to open at the site. The publication was first revealed on mako in the podcast of Rita Goldstein.

Dizengoff 99 is not just another Tel Aviv address. The building has become part of local mythology over the years, among other things thanks to the cult film by Avi Nesher that bears its name, and now it is returning to life after a process of preservation and renewal. The new complex includes a restaurant floor, an event hall, and a hotel above them, and seeks to connect the history of the place with contemporary Tel Aviv.

The restaurant complex is located on the street level, in the heart of Dizengoff, and seeks to integrate naturally into the rhythm of the street. It is intended for hotel guests, neighborhood residents, and passersby, with a place that starts the day alongside the city and is suitable for breakfast, brunch, or a stop during the day.

The restaurant notes that the menu continues the culinary line associated with Haim Cohen: high-quality raw materials, familiar flavors, seasonality, and dishes that move between simplicity and personal interpretation. Among the dishes that will be served in the morning hours:

  • Haim's shakshuka (52 NIS)

  • Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon (47 NIS)

  • Avocado bruschetta (52 NIS)

  • Spinach and poached egg maritozzo (44 NIS)

  • Scrambled eggs on low heat (42 NIS)

  • Free-range sunny-side-up eggs (42 NIS)

  • Dixie pancakes with whipped cream and fruit (48 NIS)

  • Large muesli (52 NIS)

Alongside the main dishes, small dishes for the table will also be offered, including albacore pastrami aged on-site, egg salad, tomato salad in gazpacho, and other dishes that will change according to the season and available raw materials.

The opening of breakfast is only the first stage in the new culinary move of Dizengoff 99. Later, an Italian restaurant and an Asian bar are expected to open at the site, as part of the vision to turn the historical address into an entertainment and hospitality complex that connects food, culture, and city life.

Breakfast opening hours: Sunday–Friday: 07:30–11:30, Saturday: 08:00–11:30.
