Heavy loss in the business world: Jerry Kotishtano passes away
Jerry Kotishtano, one of the senior figures in the Israeli capital market, has passed away at the age of 55. During his career, he held a series of senior positions, including CEO of Epsilon Mutual Funds and Chief Investment Officer of IBI Provident Funds.
Mourning in the Israeli capital market: Jerry Kotishtano, one of the industry's veteran and most respected figures, has passed away at the age of 55. Throughout his career, Kotishtano accumulated over 25 years of experience in the capital market and held a series of senior positions in investment and financial institutions.
Among his prominent roles, Kotishtano served as the Chief Investment Officer of provident funds, advanced study funds, and corporate provident funds at IBI. Later, he was appointed CEO of Epsilon Mutual Funds, a position he assumed in March 2017.
In February 2018, Kotishtano announced his resignation as CEO of Epsilon Mutual Funds after less than a year in the role. In his announcement at the time, he noted that his decision was made after a period of deliberation and that his departure stemmed from ongoing professional disagreements with the investment house's CEO, Shmuel Frankel, regarding executive and management authorities.
Previously, Kotishtano worked at the Psagot investment house, where he managed a team of external provident funds. Before that, he served for years at Bank Yahav, where his final role was Deputy Director of the Investment Division.
Over the years, Kotishtano remained active in the financial sector, serving as an external director and chairman of investment committees in various entities. The news of his passing has caused deep sorrow among those who knew and worked alongside him.
Kotishtano's funeral will take place tomorrow, Thursday, at 14:30 at the Yarkon Cemetery. May his memory be blessed.
