Gaps of up to 3,524%: The product sold for 239 shekels instead of 6 shekels

Journalist Niv Gilboa, host of the TV program "Madad Gilboa" on the i24NEWS channel, published a video on Wednesday on Instagram, in which he criticized model Maya Kay following a marketing campaign in which she is involved. Gilboa claimed that Kay promoted imported goods at a special event with unusually high markups.

"I think it was about a month ago that we told you influencer Maya Kay is selling you Chinese equipment. The same items available on Chinese sites cost hundreds of percent more here. We hoped she had stopped this nonsense, but what turns out? Yesterday she opened a glitzy store in the Ramat Aviv Mall with the same Chinese products, only there you will pay hundreds of percent more for them," Gilboa told his followers.

Continuing his remarks, the journalist said he did not remain indifferent: "We sent a hidden camera to check what is happening there. It is unbelievable what you will see in the program today. Is this how things work in the influencer field?"

The model launched a brand of smart technological accessories called GLAMMIE. The first collection included five accessories: a compact lighting unit with a magnetic attachment, a foldable selfie stick, a Bluetooth remote, a portable power bank, a magnetic smartphone stand, and a phone carrying strap.

1. Magnetic selfie light: 109 shekels vs. 18.08 shekels on AliExpress (a 506% gap).

2. Magnetic drinking bottle: 99 shekels vs. 15.01 shekels on AliExpress (a 560% gap).

3. Tall tripod and selfie stick: 199 shekels vs. 20.73 shekels on AliExpress (an 864% gap).

4. Phone carrying strap: 119 shekels vs. 3.87 shekels on AliExpress (a 2,998% gap).

5. Thin magnetic portable charger: 239 shekels vs. 6.62 shekels on AliExpress (a 3,524% gap).
