Deni Avdija continues to turn heads in the USA after leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 118-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets with 28 points and 5 assists. Popular NBA content creator Matty Dubbs, who analyzes players and games with over 50,000 subscribers on YouTube, heaped praise on the Israeli star and explained why opposing defenses are still struggling to find answers for him.

"Deni Avdija is putting on another great performance," Dubbs opened. "It is happening every single night now. Twenty-eight points, five assists. He just looks so good playing basketball." One of the primary topics Dubbs focused on was Avdija's improved shooting, which he argued is still not receiving proper respect from opposing defenders. "Teams do not realize how much better of a shooter he has become. You cannot give this guy any space," he said. "When a defender goes under a screen against Deni, it is disrespectful. It is their way of saying, 'We are daring you to shoot, we do not think you will make it.' And then Deni just rises up for a three. Easy money. At some point, the NBA has to learn that you cannot afford to give him that much breathing room."

Aggression and Finishes

Dubbs also expressed admiration for the Israeli forward's aggression on drives and his ability to finish through contact. "The game is looking so simple for Deni right now, and that is what makes him so good. I love his aggression in transition and the way he attacks the rim," he explained. "I have already filmed several videos on Deni this season, and I honestly cannot count on both hands how many and-ones he has generated. He is already such a stellar player that he repeatedly finds ways to draw contact, get to the free-throw line, or convert baskets through fouls. He was immensely impactful."

Analyzing another sequence where Avdija drove into the paint and finished with a foul, Dubbs added enthusiastically: "Again, it is just too easy for Deni. Far too easy for him."

Playmaking and Court Vision

Dubbs further complimented Avdija's decision-making, highlighting his chemistry with rookie center Donovan Clingan. He broke down several plays where the Israeli forward drew multiple defenders before setting up the center for uncontested dunks. "Deni is so proficient at driving and creating his own shots that the defense is forced to collapse on him," he explained. "He draws three players toward him, recognizes that Clingan is trailing behind, and simply lobs the ball up. It is a thing of beauty."

Concluding his breakdown, Dubbs delivered one of his highest praises yet for the Portland standout: "Deni is becoming the man. Actually, what am I saying? He is already the man right now."
