Apple is preparing for what may be the biggest wave of product launches in its history, with a long line of new devices and significant changes to existing product lines in the coming years. The move will be kicked off by the company's event on September 9, which will also be the first major launch event led by new CEO John Ternus, who replaced Tim Cook earlier this month, according to Bloomberg.

At the center of the event is expected to be Apple's first foldable iPhone, referred to by some employees as the iPhone Ultra. The device will include a large internal screen and a small external screen, and when folded, it will be about the size of a passport. It will be equipped with an A20 Pro chip and an Apple-made C2 modem, support Touch ID and split-screen multitasking, and include a folding mechanism designed to make the crease mark less noticeable. Its price is expected to be over $2,000.

Alongside it, Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. Their external design will remain similar to the previous generation, but the main changes will be under the hood: A20 Pro chips, a company-made modem, improved battery life, and an enhanced cooling mechanism. The Pro Max model is expected to receive a mechanical aperture in the camera for more precise control over light and depth of field.

The September event will also include the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, with new health and fitness features and components supporting an AI-based version of Siri. Also expected are AirPods 5, a new Apple TV, and an updated HomePod mini. But from Apple's perspective, the September event is just the opening shot. In the following months, the company plans to launch an iPad mini with an OLED screen, an iMac with an M6 chip, and a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the same processor.

One of the most notable changes will be Apple's entry into the laptop market with touchscreens: new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to receive OLED screens that support touch, alongside Dynamic Island and a software interface adapted for finger operation.

Apple is simultaneously expanding its smart home activity. The company is developing a home control center with a 7-inch square screen, which will use AI-based Siri and facial recognition to display personalized information. The device will be used for FaceTime calls, smart home control, and displaying widgets.

In 2027, the company expects to expand its product lines further. Plans include AirPods with built-in cameras to recognize the user's environment and provide AI-driven information, as well as entering the smart glasses market to compete directly with Meta. For the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple is developing a model with rounded glass and thinner bezels. In the longer term, Apple is also developing a desktop robot with a 9-inch screen on a robotic arm, a lighter version of the Vision Pro, and augmented reality glasses.
