Daniel Peretz continues to earn widespread praise in England following one of his most impressive performances for Southampton. The Israeli goalkeeper delivered 10 crucial saves on Saturday in a dramatic 3-2 away victory over West Ham, including a decisive stop in stoppage time that prevented the hosts from snatching a 3-3 equalizer.

Saints Marching named Peretz one of the "five winners" of the match, explaining: "Daniel Peretz deserves immense credit. Although he conceded twice, without him between the posts victory could easily have slipped away from Southampton. Near the finish West Ham came very close to leveling at 3-3, but Peretz produced an extraordinary save to deny the hosts a late point. With no fewer than 10 saves in total, his alertness was just as vital as the attacking display in the first half."

Former Southampton midfielder Joe Tessem chose the Israeli goalkeeper as man of the match on BBC Radio Solent: "I have to choose Daniel Peretz as man of the match, because his unbelievable save at the end kept them in the game." Tessem added: "This late save by Peretz proves you need a goalkeeper to secure points, and that is precisely the difference between taking three points and settling for one."

Southampton manager Tunde Eckert also joined the praise, stating: "When you come to play here, I think you always need a goalkeeper at the very top of his game. That is the reality. You can defend well as a team, but ultimately you need someone between the posts, and I think Daniel was very good today."

West Ham Zone also highlighted Peretz's display to point out goalkeeping issues for the Hammers: "The quality gap between the goalkeepers was a central factor in the defeat. Southampton's goalkeeper proved exactly what is missing in West Ham's squad."

The victory for Southampton ended a nine-game unbeaten run for West Ham, which would have climbed to the top of the Championship table with a win.
