Crisis at Tomer Mazon: Stock trading suspended for a week and a half, board meeting postponed
The crisis at Tomer Mazon is deepening as the board meeting is postponed to September 17. Stock trading remains suspended amid accounting irregularities and high-profile resignations.

The crisis at Tomer Mazon is deepening. A board meeting scheduled for this coming Tuesday has been postponed by nine days to September 17. If the conditions for resuming stock trading, which was halted a week and a half ago, are not met, the board will discuss extending the trading suspension at that meeting.
This delay adds to the challenges facing the company, controlled and managed by Doron Kimelov, which has already reported that it will not publish its quarterly report by the deadline. This follows the suspension of stock trading due to a lack of clarity surrounding the company's announcement regarding the decision of CFO Avital Perlstein-Cherni not to take the position, just a week after her appointment.
Tomer Mazon initially attributed the decision to personal reasons, but later revealed that it was made due to the accounting treatment of inventory at the subsidiary Tomer Import and Marketing of Food Products. The company has since reported that the board of directors decided to conduct an immediate review of the inventory accounting method and the financial implications for Tomer's 2025 financial statements, which were published last April.
Since then, Orna Zamir, an independent director at Tomer Mazon, has also resigned, stating that she decided to step down due to media coverage regarding her. The departure occurred after her connection to Tomer Mazon as the wife of the IDF Chief of Staff was revealed, alongside the fact that she had not signed a conflict of interest agreement, despite the fact that the IDF and the Ministry of Defense are among Tomer Mazon's largest clients.
