Gadi Eisenkot's advisor, Ronen Manelis, former IDF Spokesperson, sent a warm message on Tuesday to Ofer Winter, who launched his new right-wing party "Amcha Yisrael". Manelis, campaign manager for the "Yashar!" party, expressed support on Twitter for the launch event: "A very high-level launch event for Winter. Your success is our success. Run, Ofer, run."

One of the commenters who caught the eye was Eli Feldstein, former spokesperson in the Netanyahu office, who is accused of involvement in the Qatar-gate/Bild affair. Feldstein, a close associate of Winter who denies being his political advisor, wrote in response: "Bravo, you always supported Ofer. This time there will be no one to stop his promotion."

Manelis replied to this: "The last Chief of Staff who gave Ofer a rank and promoted him will certainly not be the one to stop his promotion. Unless you meant Kochavi."

Beyond the exchange between the two, Manelis's tweet triggered attempts to interpret it politically. Some saw it as a manipulative tactic. One user wrote: "Your reverse psychology is visible from afar," and added, "Winter will indeed be the surprise of the elections and an excellent reinforcement for the right-wing bloc." Another commenter detected a sign of weakness: "Eisenkot is trembling with fear today, Ofer's revenge is on the way."
