Channel 16 continues to build its news division, announcing the addition of Alexandra Lukash and Rotem Golan, two experienced and respected journalists who will join the channel's news staff.

Alexandra Lukash will join Channel 16 as a news anchor. She concludes nearly 15 years of work at the Yedioth Ahronoth group, where she served as a studio anchor for ynet and led news broadcasts, interviews, and special programs covering major daily events.

Rotem Golan will join Channel 16 as a magazine correspondent and anchor. In her previous role, she served as the Jerusalem correspondent for News 13, where she covered one of the most complex arenas in Israel and brought significant exposés and social stories to the screen. She began her career as a reporter for the Knesset Channel and has gained extensive experience in news and current affairs.

The central news edition of Channel 16, anchored by Yaakov Eilon, has already launched. During the soft launch period, ahead of test broadcasts on 02.08.26, Channel 16 will operate a unique model where the public acts as an active partner in shaping the channel's content.

Through an artificial intelligence-based system called SAY16, viewers will provide ongoing feedback to influence decisions ranging from program genres and scheduling to graphics and the overall viewing experience.
